Keystone Urban Institute exists because . . .

The urbanization of the modern world means that the church must engage the issues of the city and establish congregations in the centers of population.

God’s plan to work through the body of Christ means that our ministry must be congregation-centered.  We must plant local congregations and strengthen existing local congregations.

Training for urban ministry should be biblical, versatile, practical, cross-cultural, and transferable.

Keystone Urban Institute purposes . . .

To develop the ministry of local churches and facilitate the planting of urban congregations by equipping believers to minister more effectively in the postmodern, urban environment.

Keystone Urban Institute offers . . .

  • A set of five urban ministry classes with college credit available
  • Mobile seminars for churches and other organizations
  • The annual City Summit for urban ministry promotion and brainstorming
  • Packaged courses that can be used anywhere
  • Books and other printed resources for urban disciplers and trainers
